Mauryn Alyse Kindel
My Sweet Baby Girl....Mauryn Alyse Kindel was born July 7th, 2008.
She was 7 lbs. 15.3 oz and was 19 inches long.
Here is her awesomely dramatic birth story.........
I had been having contractions off and on for a few weeks so on Monday at about 4pm I had started having really painful ones. By 4:30p I knew I needed Brian to come home to take me to the hospital. He was suppose to be picking mom and Tyler up at the airport because they were coming home from California. He literally was 15 min away from driving 45 min away from me. Anyways (see how Im trying to pick up the drama) I got ahold of him and we got the kids settled with Mike and Tami.
We got to the hospital at 5:30p and was up in my room and attached to monitors by 6p. The dr on call did a sonogram because the baby was breech (read earlier post about the ECV). He confirmed she still was breech and so checked me. I was dilated to 7cm, having contractions every 4 minutes and he announced "I feel your bag of water and.......Oh I feel feet". Yeah, not suppose to be feeling feet now!!
They got me back to the OR for an emergency C-section at 6:20 and started spinal anesthesia. Well my left leg was the only thing that was going numb I could still feel my whole right side and my entire stomach!! They put me completely to sleep & I had a breathing tube. Miss Ryn was born at 6:47!
Brian barely got back into the OR when he saw them pulling Ryn out. He didnt know I was going to be completely out so he was nervous on top of having a baby anyways!
He got great pictures once she was born so enjoy the slidehow........I'll be posting more in the weeks to come.
I better go feed Ryn shes starting to fuss.......

Im thinking of naming the baby Ghoul Nipple...What do you think???
Ok so Im soooo anxious for this baby. Tomorrow is my appt to schedule the c-section. I'm going through another nesting phase which is awesome because we are going to have a bunch of company in the days and weeks to come. BUT its also exhausting.
Just an apology to whomever does come to visit, if Im too tired to clean you'll just have to walk over the mess (it will be the kids' toys Im sure) but Im not a stressor (if thats even a word).
I am just sitting here waiting for the laundry to get done and keeping Olivia in line (aaahhhh Im going crazy with her home for the summer between her licking the windows, pushing on the huge TV, scratching the couch, terrorizing Ethan, and her recent obession with finding all the shoes in the house and trying them on (then throwing them at Ethans head), Im about to go bald from pulling my hair out------shes so used to a para that keeps her attention even single minute and has to answer to her-----sorry chick Im not going to do that because you are not the only one here AND I am just too tired right now)
ANYWAYS I found something amusing online......HORRIBLE CHILDRENS NAMES. These are actual names found on ancestry.com .

Kidding Kidding Shoe Baby.....
(The kidding, kidding shoe part is explained at the end)
SOOOO I had my 39 wk appt yesterday. The dr did a sonogram because he found the heartbeat on my left side instead of the usual right lower. Well low and behold this little one is in complete breech position. The head is right under my right side ribs and the butt is in my pelvis. So hurray the dr wanted to do a ECV (external cephelic version) (manual reposition to vertex-head down). (NOW THAT WAS COMPLETE SARCASM!!!!)
I had to get an epidural for this because its quite painful. I felt tons of pressure so I cant imagine what it would have been like w/o one!!!! They were successful at turning head down BUT the baby managed to turn right back up to the original position. ECV=disapointing waste of time.
SOOOO now if the baby does not turn by itself in the next week at my next appt on Tues. they'll schedule a c-section.
The only reason I didnt have one scheduled this week is because the dr wants to try everything to avoid a c-section since I have this PUPPPS thing (the itchy rash that is a evil, nasty, side effect of some pregnancies) for risk of infection and so forth.
I assume this child wont turn since there will be even less room in there everyday and being forced apparently is not ok. What a drama king/queen!!!
*****Hey at least we finally have our digital camera so we'll get to post pictures as soon as the baby is out after the c-section******
Kidding, Kidding Shoe explained: Brandon, when he was about 1st-2nd gradeish, maybe younger, was riding in the car with everyone and he happened to have a sugar daddy (the caramel candy on a stick). Apparently no one wanted to talk with him so he engaged in conversation with his awesome gray velcro shoes.....He asked if the shoe wanted a sugar daddy, then he said "oh kidding kidding shoe". Yeah great story I know. But it was just an excuse to make fun of him the rest of his days.....Its a common phrase in our family......We think its still hilarious. Although we are all pretty much dorks to begin with soooooo.......
